Sous Chef

St. Nick's is hiring an experienced, hands-on Sous Chef to join our opening leadership team. This is a chance to help launch a brand-new concept, build systems from the ground up, and lead a passionate kitchen team from day one.

What You ll Do:

• Support the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations
  
• Lead, train, and mentor back-of-house staff during service
  
• Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation
  
• Uphold food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times
  
• Assist with prep, line execution, inventory, and ordering
  
• Help execute menus and keep the kitchen organized and efficient
  
• Lead by example during busy, high-volume service
  
• Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen culture
  

What We re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong kitchen leadership role
  
• Solid cooking skills across multiple stations
  
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  
• Reliable, hands-on, and professional work style
  
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  

Compensation & Benefits:

• $28.00 per hour + tips (40-50 hours/week, estimated annual income: $75k-$80k)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for 8-10 hours per shift
  
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs
  
• Repeated bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and crouching
  
• Work in a kitchen environment with heat, cold, steam, and noise
  
• Manual dexterity for knife work, prep, and equipment use
