About the Role:

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in the daily kitchen operations and menu planning.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Implement food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a clean kitchen.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create seasonal dishes using fresh, local ingredients.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills.
  • Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items.
  • Manage kitchen schedules and ensure timely meal service.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Passion for farm-to-table cooking and creativity in the kitchen.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
