The Steel District is seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen environment and is ready to take the next step in their culinary career.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations

  • Lead and support the kitchen team during service

  • Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes

  • Help with menu execution, prep, and specials

  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards

  • Assist with ordering, inventory, and minimizing waste

  • Train and mentor kitchen staff as needed

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong line cook ready to advance

  • Solid knowledge of kitchen operations and cooking techniques

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Passion for food, teamwork, and continuous improvement
