    Live. Work. Explore. Join the Food & Beverage team in Yellowstone National Park, where you'll help lead kitchen operations in one of the most iconic destinations in the world.

    To help you begin your Xanterra journey, eligible new culinary hires will receive a $600 travel reimbursement after joining our team.

    As a Sous Chef, you'll oversee daily food production, sanitation, and back-of-house operations while supervising kitchen staff in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Opportunities are available in both historic full-service restaurants and quick-service locations throughout the park.

    Seasonal Position

    • Mid-June through Early November
    • $1,940 $2,136 bi-weekly
    • Approximately 45 hours/week
    • Includes evenings, weekends, and holidays

    What You'll Do

    • Lead and supervise back-of-house teams during service
    • Ensure food quality, consistency, and sanitation standards
    • Manage food and labor costs
    • Oversee inventory, ordering, scheduling, and production records
    • Train, coach, and develop kitchen staff
    • Maintain organized, efficient kitchen operations
    • Deliver exceptional guest experiences through strong culinary leadership

    Qualifications

    • Previous kitchen management or supervisory experience
    • Strong culinary and knife skills
    • Experience with scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and food cost controls
    • Ability to lead, motivate, and train employees
    • ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain)
    • Culinary degree or ACF certification preferred
