OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner Opportunity- PRN
Vassar Brothers Medical Center, part of Northwell/Nuvance Health, located just 75 minutes north of New York City, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our successful and growing OB/GYN group for per diem work. We are a collaborative OB-GYN team providing care to a diverse patient population that draws from multiple counties in the Hudson Valley. The ideal candidate will be a team player, have excellent communication skills, easily establish rapport and trust with patients and families, is committed to evidence-based care and practices, and values working with a diverse patient population. We are seeking a candidate that is reliable and adaptable and has a high level of clinical competence, compassion and empathy, commitment to patient education, cultural sensitivity, excellent interdisciplinary collaboration skills, and passion for lifelong learning and professional development.
We have practice offices located in Poughkeepsie, Fishkill and Highland and work alongside 7 board certified physicians.
Job Requirements:
Located on the banks of the scenic Hudson River, Vassar Brothers Medical Center has a new 752,000 square-foot, eight-level inpatient pavilion with 263 private medical/surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms. Vassar provides the leading acute and critical emergency care in the region, including Level II Trauma Service and Interventional Neuroradiology. Vassar has established centers of excellence in cardiac services, neurosciences, cancer care, and women's health. Vassar is consistently ranked as one of the strongest cardiac programs in the United States and one of the Top 100 Heart Hospitals by Modern HealthCare Magazine.
The Hudson Valley boasts a terrific quality of life. From hiking, biking, and boating, to cafes, art galleries, and local farmers markets, this beautiful suburban location offers endless ways to spend your leisure time. Excellent housing and outstanding schools can be found throughout the region, including many fine colleges and universities such as Vassar College, Bard College, Marist College, SUNY New Paltz, and the Culinary Institute of America.
