Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Reviews project reports and recommend actions to maintain operational efficiency and maximize productivity.
  • Prepares and submits all Reimbursable Work Authorizations (RWA) to the General Services Administration (GSA).
  • Provides support for various real estate projects in accordance with U.S General Services Administration (GSA) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) space acquisition, management and administration policies, standards and procedures.
  • Supporting development of space, parking, occupancy agreements and financial records.
  • Tracks requests and conducts frequent audits to ensure completion.
  • Develops responses to new and emerging program needs.
  • Compiles detailed information, analyzes and formulates SFMS budget submission drafts for EOIR facility needs including rent, parking, work orders and RWAs.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for the Space and Facilities Analyst position, you must meet the following time in grade requirements and minimum qualifications:

TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. (Please submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. If your eligibility for both merit promotion and/or time-in-grade cannot be determined, your application will be rated ineligible. Please see Required Documents for additional information). Time-in-grade requirements also apply to VEOA applicants having held a GS position in the past year.

FOR THE GS-13 LEVEL:

Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks, full-time) of specialized work experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (or comparable experience outside the Federal service), performing the following duties:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of real property and leasing as it pertains to GSA policies and procedures;
  • Managing space and facility project schedules and coordinated tasks to ensure completion is on time;
  • Preparing and submitting items into the development of the space and facility annual budget;
  • Monitoring budget for fund availability for new space acquisitions, renovations or other improvements;
  • Developing operational and financial data to establish organizational performance metrics.

  • Access USA Hire using your unique assessment link. Access is granted through your USAJOBS login credentials.
  • Review all instructions prior to beginning your assessments. You will have the opportunity to request a testing accommodation before beginning the assessments should you have a disability covered under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended.
  • Set aside about two (2) hours to take the USA Hire Assessments; however, most applicants complete the assessments in less time. If you need to stop the assessments and continue later, you can re-use your unique assessment link.
  • Your responses to the USA Hire Assessments will be reused for one year (in most cases) from the date you complete an assessment. If future applications you submit require completion of the same assessments, your responses will be automatically reused.

Next steps

Based on your application and your responses to the application questionnaire, you may be presented with instructions on how to access the USA Hire system to complete the online assessments. The online assessments must be completed within 48 hours following the close of this announcement. You will have the opportunity to request a testing accommodation for the assessment should you have a disability covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Your assessment results will be kept on record for one year and used toward future positions for which you might apply that require the same assessments.

You will be notified of your application status during the hiring process, as applicable. You may check your application status by accessing the USAJOBS website and clicking "Application Status". The process may take up to 6 weeks. The four points of notification are:

  • Application Received or Application Incomplete
  • Minimum Qualification Requirement Met/Not Met
