Our partners include NASA, ESA, Thales, and other leaders across the global space industry.We are looking for a Sales Systems Engineer to join our growing U.S. team and lead the early technical shaping of customer missions and satellite solutions for the U.S. market. This is a high‑ownership role for someone who enjoys working from ambiguity, engaging directly with customers, and helping build local capability in a fast‑moving organization. You will translate mission needs into technically sound, feasible, and commercially credible satellite solutions while working closely with business development, mission analysis, product, and engineering teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop satellite and mission concepts by translating customer needs, requirements, and ambiguous inputs into clear, structured technical solutions.Perform orbital and mission analysis and develop key technical budgets, including power, data, mass, link, delta‑V, and energy, to assess mission feasibility and performance.Define system architecture, subsystem allocations, work packages, and technical inputs to solution costing, including non‑recurring engineering estimates.Lead technical trade studies to support design, proposal, and solution decisions.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field.3+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering, mission analysis, spacecraft engineering, or a similar role.Experience turning incomplete or ambiguous requirements into clear technical solutions.Solid understanding of satellite missions, spacecraft subsystems, and system‑level engineering, including mission analysis and technical budgeting.Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and a structured way of working.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions clearly to different audiences.Able to work independently, take ownership, and collaborate effectively in a small, fast‑moving, multidisciplinary, and international team.US Citizen; NanoAvionics will not provide sponsorship.Located in the Eastern U.S. time zone.Willingness to travel as needed (up to 20%).Nice to HaveExperience supporting bids, proposals, or customer‑facing technical activities for commercial, civil, or defense space customers.Experience in multiple engineering disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, RF, control systems, or data systems.Experience with requirements management tools and systems engineering processes.Experience with spacecraft AIT, launch campaigns, or early mission operations.Familiarity with work package definition, services estimation, or non‑recurring engineering scoping.Located in the DC / Northern Virginia metro area.SalaryExpected Salary Range: $105,000–$135,000 per year.The final offer will depend on the level of competencies and experience.BenefitsPrivate health insurance.One fully compensated volunteering day per year.Employee referral program.Two fully compensated sick leave days per year.#J-18808-Ljbffr
