Job Description:
Accurately interprets messages between Limited English Proficiency (LEP) patients and healthcare providers or support staff in a variety of settings. Translates the written version of documents or medical records as requested.
Principle Responsibilities
Interpreting.
Provides accurate, and complete in-person, telephone and video interpreting services to healthcare professionals, patients and companions following department standards and National Council on Interpreting in Health Care ethics and standards of practice. Will require driving/traveling based on patient needs.
Documentation.
Documents interpreting services in the electronic medical record.
Safety and Quality.
Identifies and communicates quality concerns.
Participates in quality improvement activities to evaluate and improve service.
Translation.
Translates, proofreads, edits, and revises translated materials following accepted professional standards.
Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $26.07 to $35.72 per hour
The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
