Spanish Language Instructors
PGLS is looking for 2 Spanish Language Instructors to teach an intensive, one-on-one course for an adult professional, onsite in Riverside, CA. This position is for a class starting August 24st, 2026 for 6 months.

Contract Requirements
- Educated speaker of Spanish
- 2+ year(s) of classroom experience teaching Spanish language to adult English-speaking students.
- 1+ year(s) of teaching experience in a small-group classroom setting.
- Must possess the cultural background of the country and geographical region. (raised or educated in the county).
- Familiarity with the communicative approach to language learning, ILR proficiency scale levels and OPI assessments highly desired.
- Familiarity with various computer platforms, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual meeting software (Zoom, Skype, MS Teams).
Skills Required
- Teaching Spanish as a foreign language, preferably one-on-one or small group settings.
- Familiar with teaching with the communicative approach to language teaching.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to assess the learning style of the student and adjust teaching accordingly.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a distributed team.
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of Adult Learning Theories and practice, preferred.
- Ability to work remotely and provide required services from alternate locations via MS Teams, ZOOM, etc., as needed.
- Instructors must be able to work interculturally in a harmonious and professional manner.
