General Statement Montana State University seeks qualified individuals to provide high-quality instruction and to perform related academic duties as needed. Instructional assignments are contingent upon departmental needs and the availability of funding.

  • Knowledge & Skills • Bachelors degree or equivalent from a Foreign University and a Masters degree or equivalent from a Foreign University in Spanish or a closely related field or relevant knowledge and experience appropriate to the position. • Proficiency level in Spanish appropriate to the position.

  • Knowledge & Skills • PhD in Spanish or other relevant discipline. • Superior level proficiency in Spanish. • Experience teaching at the college level.

The Program The Department Modern Languages & Literatures offers courses in Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, French, German, and Spanish. Students may major or minor in Asian Studies, French & Francophone Studies, German Studies, Hispanic Studies, and Latin American & Latino Studies. Teaching options in French, German, and Spanish are also offered.
