Job Title: Spanish Pedagogy: Spanish Teaching BA Program Coordinator, FT CFS Professional
The Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Brigham Young University announces a search for a candidate to fill a CFS-track (analogous to tenure-track) position to coordinate and teach in the Spanish Teaching BA Program. Initial rank will be consistent with qualifications and experience.

Required Degree:
MA required, PhD preferred in Foreign Language Education, Applied Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, Curriculum and Instruction, or similar emphasis. The required degree must be completed prior to the start date.

Experience:
Experience teaching Spanish courses at the university level is required and teaching/administrative experience in public K-12 schools is preferred. Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English is also required.
Duties/Expectations:
The Spanish Teaching BA Coordinator is a Professional-track position with a course-load of 4-3-2, or its equivalent in supervisory/administrative duties (27 credit-hours per year). While this professional position does not have a research/publication expectation, the coordinator is expected to stay current in the field through various professional development activities and serve on departmental, college, and university committees.
