The School District of Abbotsford is seeking for the 2025-2026 school year a full-time qualified Spanish teacher for grades 6-12. Courses taught will include Spanish for Heritage Speakers (Spanish Language Arts) as well as introductory Spanish, serving students coming up from our growing Dual Language program as well as traditional Spanish learners. Opportunities for growth include future courses open to gifted students with grade-level Spanish literacy skills as well as other opportunities as the program grows and more students earn their Seal of Biliteracy and Community Interpreter certificates.
Eligible candidates should minimally be able to communicate in Spanish at an advanced-mid level and hold a Bachelors degree in education with the appropriate license.
Abbotsford is a small, rural community in Central Wisconsin that boasts a diverse population of approximately 800 students with approximately 65% speaking Spanish as their primary language. Additionally, at the elementary grades K-5, the District offers dual language programming. As a small district, we encourage staff to become involved, whether as a coach, a club adviser, a team/committee member, or in the community.
