The Goddard School® located in Midtown Atlanta is seeking a passionate, engaging, and nurturing Spanish Teacher to join our team. At our School, we put our teachers first because they put our students first. As a Spanish Teacher, you will introduce young children to the Spanish language and culture through developmentally appropriate, interactive, and joyful learning experiences.

You will collaborate with Lead and Assistant Teachers to incorporate Spanish into the children's daily learning experiences and help foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment.

Spanish Teacher Key Responsibilities:


  • Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate Spanish lessons and activities for young children
  • Introduce Spanish vocabulary, phrases, songs, stories, games, and cultural experiences in a fun and interactive way
  • Create a positive and encouraging environment that builds children's confidence and interest in learning Spanish
  • Adapt lessons and activities to meet the developmental needs and interests of individual children
  • Collaborate with Lead and Assistant Teachers to integrate Spanish into the classroom curriculum and daily routines
  • Encourage children to participate through music, movement, conversation, storytelling, and hands-on activities
  • Supervise children indoors and outdoors, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment where every child feels supported and valued
  • Communicate with teachers and families about children's participation and progress
  • Organize and maintain engaging Spanish-language classroom materials and resources
  • Maintain clean and inviting learning spaces while adhering to health and safety standards
  • Support routine childcare tasks and contribute to a nurturing, high-quality learning environment

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma required
  • Fluency in Spanish required; native or near-native proficiency preferred
  • Previous experience teaching Spanish or working with young children preferred
  • Passion for early childhood education and language development
  • Shows empathy, patience, and compassion for young children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Energetic, creative, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, children, and families
  • Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
