About the Role:
The Farmington Academy, Inc. is looking for a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our K-8 team in Avon, CT! This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young learners and foster a love of language and culture from the earliest grades through middle school. If you're energetic, creative, and committed to student success, we'd love to hear from you.  Salary based upon experience.  The position is part-time with approx. 18 to 20 hours per week from September through end of May.



Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Spanish language instruction for students in grades K-8
• Develop age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the school's Spanish curriculum
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of elementary and middle school students
• Incorporate cultural education and immersive activities to enrich Spanish language learning
• Write two conference reports each year per student (November and May)

Requirements:

• Experience teaching Spanish (as spoken in Spain) preferred
• Native or near-native Spanish language proficiency
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to engage K-8 learners
• Passion for language education and multicultural awareness
