Job Title: Entry-Level Manufacturing Support – Spares & Supply Chain Engineering
Location: Long Beach, CA (100% Onsite)
Pay Rate: $32/hr W2
Duration: 6 Months (possible extension)
Schedule: 1st Shift | Possible overtime opportunities
Interview Process: In-person for local candidates, video interview (camera optional) for non-local candidates
Relocation: Out-of-state candidates welcome, but relocation is at own expense
Physical Requirements: Ability to team-lift rolls of material (up to 45 lbs)
Job Description
The BGS Spares & Supply Chain Engineering team is seeking an entry-level teammate to support the manufacturing of Protective Removable Equipment (PRE), Paint Stencils, and Paint Premask for multiple commercial sites and programs. This role is fully onsite and requires strong communication, attention to detail, and willingness to learn specialized manufacturing processes.
Position Responsibilities- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and project managers.
- Manufacture aircraft paint stencils, PRE, Premask, and 3D PRE.
- Perform quality inspections of Premask, Stencils, and Mylars.
- Package and prepare manufactured parts for shipment.
- Create and produce aircraft temporary registration numbers using latex printers.
- Correctly identify and handle materials for each job.
- Maintain inventory for just-in-time (JIT) ordering.
- Team lift material rolls (up to 45 lbs) to load machines.
- Work onsite daily as part of the production team.
Software & Tools- iCut Production Console, Summa GoProduce, Summa Axis Control, SummaFlex
- CorelDraw, Redars, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat
- Ultimaker Cura, CATIA V5
- Equipment: Kongsberg flatbed plotters, Summa flatbed plotters, Summa drum cutters, 3D printers
Required Qualifications- High School Diploma or higher.
- Ability to work onsite daily and meet attendance standards.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience manufacturing paint premask, stencils, or PRE (Protective Removable Equipment).
- Experience with 3D printing and 3D part manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Summa and Kongsberg plotters, drum cutters, and related equipment.
