An employee in this class performs a variety of special assignments of a highly responsible administrative nature assisting an agency’s head with directing and controlling the agency’s activities. Work involves planning, coordinating, directing, and evaluating activities of the agency and instituting new or amended methods and procedures. Work is performed within the framework of existing policies, laws, rules, and regulations of the agency; but an employee is expected to use acquired trainingand experience in exercising initiative and good judgement. General supervision is received from the agency’s head in the form ofspecial instruction discussion, and evaluation performances.
