Job Description
The Mahopac Central School District seeks to fill the following anticipated probationary position for the 2026-2027 school year:
Special Education/Biology Teacher - Mahopac Middle School
- Certified special education teachers (grades 6-12)
- Biology (grades 5-9 extension)
- Knowledge in co-teaching practices, specially-designed instruction, and IEP development and management required.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities;
- Familiarity with Next Generation Science Standards
- Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
- Monitor student progress using multiple data points
- Provide small-group supplemental instruction focused on individual IEP goals, executive functioning, and specialized academic skill-building.
