- Minimum pay $27.03/hour
- Must possess or be physically qualified and capable of passing certain training requirements in order to secure a valid commercial driver license to drive a school bus
- Must complete pre-service and in-service training required to maintain driving status
- Maintains student control on the bus to ensure the safety and welfare of all school bus passengers
- Maintains the school bus to ensure the safety and welfare of each passenger being transported. Performs pre-trip inspections as required. Report all malfunctions or suspicious noises to the mechanic. Ensure good radio communication between bus and base so that issues can be handled efficiently
- Maintain up to date on knowledge of all safety and emergency features on the bus
- Coordinate instructions with the special education department
- Ability to cope with specialized needs and situations related to servicing students with disabilities and their families
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee
