Special Education Classroom Aide

About the Position

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Special Education Aide to join our team. This role supports classroom teachers and special education staff in providing individualized instruction and assistance to students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate has a heart for working with children, patience in challenging situations, and the ability to adapt to meet student needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in implementing instructional and behavioral plans for students with special needs.

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as directed.

• Help with classroom organization, materials preparation, and supervision of students.

• Support students with personal care needs when necessary.

• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.

• Document and report student progress or concerns to supervising teachers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).

• Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational or special needs setting (preferred).

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to follow teacher direction and school policies.

• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.

Schedule

• Full-Time; 40 hours per week.

• Work schedule will follow the school calendar.
