Essential Requirements & Desired Background

We need a dynamic and progressive teacher who has a growth-oriented mindset and the ability to integrate technology into daily teaching practices.

Required Qualification:

  • You must hold WI DPI Cross Categorical Certification/Licensure.

Favored Candidates will have a background in:

  • Multi-Level Systems of Support (MTSS)

  • Inclusive and Co-Teaching Strategies

  • Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)

  • Responsive Classroom

  • Balanced Literacy and Numeracy Instruction

  • Common Core State Standards

Preferred candidates will also demonstrate the ability to co-plan and co-teach with general education teachers.

You will organize and plan systematic instruction based on subject matter, pupils, the community, and curriculum goals.

  • Understands and adapts instruction to meet the diverse needs of pupils, including those with disabilities and exceptionalities.

  • Uses a variety of instructional strategies, including technology, to encourage critical thinking and problem-solving.

  • Uses an understanding of motivation and behavior to create a learning environment that encourages positive social interaction, active engagement, and self-motivation.

  • Fosters relationships with school colleagues, parents, and agencies to support pupil learning and well-being.

  • Uses formal and informal assessment strategies to evaluate continuous intellectual, social, and physical development.

The Nekoosa School District is a Pre-K - 12 public school system located in central Wisconsin, which serves students in the city of Nekoosa and townships of Armenia, Port Edwards, Rome, and Saratoga. Our district serves over 1,030 students within its four buildings.
