Special Education - Elementary (2026-05)

The Medford Township Public Schools is seeking compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Special Education Teacher to work with students in Elementary School. This teacher will work collaboratively with support staff and related service providers to deliver high-quality, individualized instruction aligned to each student's IEP. The ideal candidate will have experience with differentiated instruction, assistive technology, and behavior management, and a deep understanding of the needs of students with complex learning and physical challenges.

Salary Range

This position is tenure track and accrues seniority. The salaries listed below represent the 2026-2027 negotiated salaries for BA Step 1 (minimum) and MA+60 Step 16 (maximum). Actual salary is commensurate to experience and education.

Benefits Description

As per the negotiated agreement between the Medford Education Association and the Board of Education, Benefits are offered for single coverage in Years 1 and 2. Year 3 is two-party, and Year 4+ offers full family benefits (Medical, Prescription, Dental & Vision).

Requirements

Students with Disabilities (NJDOE #2475), and

Elementary School Teacher in Grades K-6 (NJDOE #1001), or

Preschool through Grade 3 (NJDOE #1013)

Strong knowledge of IEP develpoment, implementation and progress monitoring
