Requirements / Qualifications

Training, Experience and Educational Requirements: o Two years of experience, either paid or unpaid, working with children in an instructional or supervisory capacity; o Experience as a parent or volunteer experience with a youth organization or group is regarded as qualifying; o Experience, either paid or unpaid, working with people who have special needs. o 48 - 60 semester units of college, with a grade C or better or possession of an Associates or higher degree or passage of a local or state assessment demonstrating knowledge of reading, writing and mathematics. o Bilingual is highly desirable. o First aide and/or CPR training is desirable. Certificates/Licenses: Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of: o English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, and mathematics.
