Special Education Instructional Aide

We have an opening for a Special Education Instructional Aide position available at Cedar Hills Elementary School.

Hours:

8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (1/2 hours unpaid lunch)

Summary:

The Special Education Aide provides support to students with special needs to help them access and participate fully in the school environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and/or physical support throughout the school day.
• Assist the students in classroom routines and completing assignments under the direction of the classroom teacher or special education staff.
• Support the studenst in developing independence, communication, and social skills.
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavior support plans as directed by certified staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with students and staff.
• Monitor and record student progress and share observations with the supervising teacher.

This is a 5.5 hour a day position with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch.
