Job Summary

Under general supervision, the direction of the designated administrator to assist teachers in providing support to behaviorally challenged students or small groups of students; monitors, redirects, and modifies student progress regarding behaviors and performances and performances and develops activities to assist students in improving academic performance, social skills and positive behaviors; The Special Education Aide II is a higher level from other classified instructional support since they work independently to provide guidance services to assist students in improving their person, social and other non-academic skill.; to relieve teachers of routine clerical and authorized instructional duties and do related work as required and assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: High school diploma or equivalent of the completion of the twelfth grade. Must be No Child Left Behind Compliant (NCLB), You will either need to have an AA degree or higher or 48 or more college units (you will need to provide unofficial transcripts with your application) and or the passing of our district s Instructional Aide Eligibility Test. Valid current California Driver's License. Desirable: Valid first aid and CPR card or certificate. For more information on qualifications and duties please refer to the attached job description. This position is part of the Classified Employee Unit at MCUSD/MCOE and will be placed depending on experience on the Classified Employee Salary schedule on Range 17.
