Special Education Aide. High School - Full time, follows the school calendar, and includes insurance benefits. The special education aide will provide individual support to a high school student who requires assistance with transitions, manipulation of classroom materials, and physical care, including toileting. Support for the student will be under the direction of the School Nurse and Special Education Teachers. This position is reviewed annually and contingent on student need.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Applicants with a college degree including courses in education or those holding a valid WI teaching certificate are encouraged to apply
• Ability and willingness to work with students of all abilities
• Demonstrate knowledge of basic educational classroom operations
• High degree of organization, self-initiative and accuracy in work performed
• Daily attendance is critical to be able to provide consistency in student support
• Possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills and project a positive and courteous attitude and image to the staff, students, and community
• Ability and skills needed to work as part of an educational team
• Demonstrates strong work ethic, dependable, punctual and can be trusted to handle tasks independently.
