Position Overview

Blazer Jobs is seeking dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessionals to support Special Education programs in the Raytown, MO area for the 2026–2027 school year. We have openings at the K–12 level. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.
Schedule & Hours

• Full-time, Monday–Friday
• Follows the district school calendar

Responsibilities

• Work directly with special education students to support their academic, social, and behavioral goals
• Assist lead teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide one-on-one or small group support in classroom and other school settings
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and personal care as needed
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families regarding student progress

Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

• A passing score on the ParaPro Assessment, OR
• A valid Substitute Teacher Certification

Additional preferred qualities:

• Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities
• Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students

Compensation

• Pay: $21.00–$24.65 per hour, based on experience
