The remote Special Programs Administrator provides focused oversight inassistingschool-based personnel in improving the quality of teaching and learning for students in selected services of Special Education, ESL Program and Gifted Program.

This is a REMOTE full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 8am-430pm or as defined by the school.

- Implements, evaluates, andmaintainsinstructional compliance for Special Education, English Language Learners, and Gifted classroomteachers;
- Assists Special Programs Supervisor in evaluations and observations of classroom teachers per state requirements; Assists with the assurance that teachers working in Special Programs meet all the standards and expectations outlined in the Teacher ExcellenceFramework;
- Oversees the continued development of the Special Education program from students who are eligible for ACCESS pointscurriculum;
- Monitors, interprets, anddeterminesinstructional efficacy for schoolwide datareports;
- Assistswith the development and dissemination of "best practices" for Special Programs instruction in the virtual schoolsetting;
- Assistsin the coordinating and implementing of department meetings; Coordinates and conducts professional developmentactivities;
- Demonstrates skills in data gathering and analysis, project planning andevaluation;
- Deep understanding of instruction in reading/literacy,mathand behaviorinterventions;
- Ensures conformance of educational programs to state and local school board standards through evaluation,developmentand coordination activities; As needed,researchesand implements non-K12 curriculum resources that meet statestandards;
- Serves as liaison between school and other agencies, including participation in agency meetings,hearingsandresolutions;
- Works with Testing Coordinator tofacilitateappropriateassessments;
- Assistsgrade level principals in daily dutiesrequiredto keep the department functioning andcompliant;
- Assistswith parent and student concerns andissues;
- Assistswith projects as directed by the Special ProgramsManager;
- Requisitions andallocatessupplies, equipment, and instructional material asneeded;
- Activelyparticipatesin all school leadership team meetingsassigned;
- Helps articulate the school's mission and vision with the aim of ensuring all stakeholders havea common understandingand are positioned to work cooperativelytoachieve desired results;Utilizes/relies heavily upon communication technologies and practices that most effectively support apredominantly virtual/remotework environment.
- Ability to travel 20% of the time for meetings, professional development, state testing, etc.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under the guidance of the Special Programs Manager, this position could directly supervise Full-time Equivalent (FTE) reg
