Requirements / Qualifications

It is recommended that you attach a resume detailing all applicable experience.

Applicants must meet the requirements of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) and "Highly Qualified" mandate. This includes meeting a rigorous standard of quality through a formal local assessment. Experience: One (1) year of experience as a Paraeducator, or the equivalent of twelve (12) months of paid or volunteer experience working with school-age children with special needs in an organized educational or structured setting.

  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Driver s License Copy
  • Proof of HS Graduation

MUST PASS THE DISTRICT WRITTEN EXAM. Applicants that pass the initial screening will be notified of the examination date. The written exam will cover English language usage, school and student safety, first aid, student interaction, and human relations. This position is part of the California School Employees Association (CSEA) bargaining unit. After a conditional offer of employment, applicants must meet the following requirements: 1. Must pass District physical examinations and drug/alcohol screening 2. A current TB clearance 3.
