Special Education Paraprofessional - 1:1 Student Support

Cross Country Education is seeking a compassionate Special Education Paraprofessional to make a real impact in a supportive school environment in Bridgeport, CT. Join our team of Paraprofessionals to help students with diverse learning needs thrive for the '26-'27 school year!
 
Position Overview:

• Provide dedicated one-on-one support to an High School student, focusing on managing and modifying high-level behavioral needs in the classroom.
• Implement the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) by consistently applying de-escalation and therapeutic crisis intervention techniques to maintain a structured, safe, and positive learning environment.
• Collect and maintain accurate data on the student's behavior patterns, interventions, and progress, and communicate effectively with the special education teacher and behavior specialists.

Qualifications: 

• Associate degree or 2 years of college credit (Required)
  • Alternatively: High School diploma/equivalent and a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment (Required)
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training is (Strongly Preferred)
• Strong behavior management background and experience with middle/high school students (Preferred)
