Description:
The Special Education Paraprofessional will assist in a classroom setting under the supervision of a certified teacher.
Additional responsibilities may include supervision in classrooms, restrooms, playgrounds, and during arrival and dismissal, as well as general supervision in the cafeteria, library, hallways, and other instructional settings as determined by the administrator.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and adaptation of instructional materials
- Support student learning through individual and small group instruction as directed
- Assist with supervision, escorting, and monitoring of students throughout the school day
- Help maintain accurate records related to student progress and activities
- Support the teacher with daily classroom routines and instructional programming
- Participate in staff development and training as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned by administration
Bilingual preferred
Hours:
35 hours per week (7 hours per day) - Elementary Schools
8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (includes a 30-minute duty-free lunch)

Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Paraprofessional License

Physical Demands:

- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
