Responsibilities:

This is an awesome opportunity to work in a highly supportive environment and make a real difference in the life of a child. Work with a small class size of elementary students using a team approach with a Special Education Teacher to deploy personalized, relationship-focused strategies designed to foster student growth. You would be further supported by our Principal, Assistant Principal, School Counselor, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Building Substitutes, and other staff in true collaborative effort.

The Special Education Paraprofessional assists the teachers in classrooms in supporting students, including helping the teacher with daily management and modification of student behavior and tracking data. Following the lesson plan developed by the teacher, the Special Education Paraprofessional works to improve, develop, and/or maintain a student's active participation in the educational environment.

Programming at Parkway School supports students, grades K-12, who have emotional/behavioral disabilities, Autism, and/or other neurological differences. Students remain enrolled in their own district with the goal of transitioning back.
