The Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional at Galesville Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is 30 hours/week.
Performance Responsibilities: Assist the classroom teacher during instructional periods. Assist students with disabilities in completion of tasks as directed by the classroom teacher. Assist in student supervision. Assist with clerical tasks as related to classroom functions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Individuals meeting DPI Highly Qualified criteria (or ability/willingness to become highly qualified) preferred. Highly qualified criteria are as follows: Have obtained an associate (or higher) degree, OR Have at least two years of post-secondary education that is equivalent to at least 48 semester hours from an accredited higher education institution, OR Have met a rigorous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics (or, as appropriate, reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness) by taking and passing one of the required assessments. (ACT WorkKeys, ParaPro ETS, ParaEducator Master Teacher) OR Ability to provide to the district a portfolio meeting the paraprofessional requirements. HR and the SPED Department can assist with this portfolio.
