About Whitnall School District
Whitnall is a district on the rise. With strong community backing, as shown by our recently approved referendum, we are entering an exciting phase of facility enhancements, learning environment upgrades, and programmatic improvements. Much of this work begins this spring, setting the stage for a transformed school experience in the years ahead.
Additionally, Whitnall has launched a new strategic plan that provides clear priorities for student learning, instruction, culture, engagement, and operational excellence. Whitnall is a unique school district that is proud to serve approximately 2,500 students in the Village of Hales Corners, part of the City of Greenfield, and part of the City of Franklin. Whitnall is looking for an energetic Special Education Paraprofessional to work 7 hrs/day to assist students during the school day. Qualified candidates must be able to work with a variety of students with disabilities and will support students'' academic and emotional needs within the special education and regular education environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Attend to individualized student educational/health/physical needs during the school day.
Contribute to educational planning through observation (condition/behavior) and collaboration.
Employ positive techniques and strategies which encourage and/or strengthen productive behavior.
Assist students/staff with non-structured or specific study setting needs.
Communicate effectively/tactfully with students, families, staff, and outside agencies.
Work under protocols established by the school team (Administrators, Educators, Pupil Services).
Perform role responsibilities in accordance with prescribed safety procedures.
