We are a Public Charter school with a Montessori and nature-based philosophy, and emphasis on holistic, hands-on learning!

We are looking for a Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year (anticipated start date August 25th, 2026). This is a school year position, working late August to early June, hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am-3:15pm.

In this role you will work with our Special Education Teacher in supporting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), adapting Montessori instructional materials, and managing student behaviors cohesively with the Montessori Methodology.

Our Special Education Paraprofessionals will push in with students as much as possible, guiding them alongside their peers and often engaging with other students to integrate services seamlessly within each child's studio (classroom).

In this role you will:

  • Support Special Education plans and Montessori academic goals

  • Foster positive relationships with students while encouraging independence and confidence

  • Reinforce academic, social, and behavioral goals throughout the school day

  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

  • Support students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other school activities

  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to meet student needs

  • Assist with classroom organization, materials, and daily routines

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with students and families

  • Adapt to changing student needs and provide flexible support throughout the day

  • Provide educational observations to the lead teachers

  • Oversee Lunch, Recess, and/or Pick up duties

What we are looking for:

  • 1-3 years experience in Education

  • 1-3 years of experience in Special Education preferred

  • Montessori Credential is a plus

  • Experience teaching through the Montessori Method is also a plus
