The School District of Ladysmith is seeking a full time Special Education Paraprofessional. This position assists special education teachers in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students. Duties include providing one-on-one and small group academic support, managing classroom behavior, and helping students with personal care and daily living skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting students in achieving academic success
Working with students who may be disruptive or aggressive in class
Behavior support which may include physical management (training provided upon hire)
Personal Care
Medication Management (if needed)
Social integration
Consultation and collaboration with Special Education and Regular Education Teachers as well as related service staff
Record-keeping (i.e. behavior tracking, progress notes, etc.)
Any and all other duties as may be assigned
