Special Education Paraprofessional

The School District of Belleville is seeking full-time special education paraprofessionals for the upcoming school year. We have two buildings, a 4k-6 elementary school and a 7-12 Middle/High School.

Candidates should possess the following skills or experience:

• Experience with students with disabilities is a plus

• Flexibility and willingness to change easily and readily depending on student and teacher needs.

• Self-motivated, self-directed and shows the ability to complete tasks independently.

• Technology skills and be willing to expand technology skills.

• Work collaboratively with both special education and regular education staff.

• Ability to take direction and feedback in a positive manner.

• Ability to establish rapport/relationships with students, especially with students who may struggle with behaviors/motivation.

• Willing to work with instructional groups under the supervision of the special education teacher.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
