Special Education Resource Teacher

Columbus Public School District is hiring a special education resource teacher for the Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year. The teacher will collaborate with the general education teachers to ensure that accommodation is in place while the student is in the general education setting. The instructor will develop students cognitive, emotional, and social capacities for learning. The teacher will also maintain compliance on all special education procedures, timelines, and documents such as Individual Education Program (IEP), progress reporting, parent notification, consents, and evaluation processes.

Additional Information Salary is determined by years of experience and education.

  • Up to 7 years of experience and all degree work accepted for placement.
  • All years of experience may be granted if deemed a hard-to-fill position.
  • Stipend for additional caseload.

Compensation

  • $41,950 Base salary for 2026-27 school year
    • $12,000 Cash-in-Lieu of Insurance
  • Up to $2500 Sign-on bonus tied to hard-to-fill designation.
