Special Education Resource Teacher Pool - High School 2026-2027

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree;
• Valid Texas Teacher Certification or an *Alternative Certification Program (ACP) Eligibility Letter in the following: Special Education, and Content Area certificate (ELAR, Math, Science or Social Studies) high school level

(* Must have passed the Special Education and Content exam from the ACP Program to qualify)

PREFERRED:

• For an English Resource position an ESL Certificate or must become ESL certified within the current school year;
• General knowledge of curriculum & instruction;
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior; and
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

The role of the Special Education Resource Teacher is provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
