The Campbell County Board of Education is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Special Education Supervisor. This position provides leadership, coordination, and support for the district's special education programs and services to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while supporting the academic and behavioral success of students with disabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Per Tennessee State Law, a Supervisor of Special Education shall meet one of the following requirements:

(a) Hold a valid Tennessee instructional leader license or professional administrator license and have three (3) years of experience with programs for children with disabilities; OR

(b) Hold an advanced degree and a valid Tennessee teacher license with endorsement in at least one (1) area of special education and have three (3) years of experience with programs for children with disabilities.

Preferred Skills and Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with school administrators, teachers, related service providers, families, and community agencies
  • Support and monitor IEP implementation and special education programming
  • Assist with professional development and instructional support for special education staff
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
