What You'll Do

As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide individualized instruction and structured support to help students reach their academic, behavioral, and functional goals.

  • Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals for K–12 students

  • Modify and adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress reporting

  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with special education services

  • Create a supportive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

What We're Looking For

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement (required)

  • Strong classroom management and instructional skills

  • A patient, flexible, and student-centered approach

  • Prior school-based or special education experience preferred
