Job Requirements

  • Education Requirements: Certified Special Education Teacher
  • Certifications Requirements: Certified Special Education Teacher
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience in special education, experience working with OHI, Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairment preferred
  • Other Requirements: Must be certified in special education, able to work inside general education settings, strong communication skills, physically capable for a school environment, background check required

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse disabilities including OHI, Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairment
  • Provide instruction inside general education settings to promote inclusion and engagement
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to support student growth
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment for all students
