Job Requirements.

  • EducationRequirements: CT Special Education Teacher license
  • CertificationsRequirements: None specified
  • ExperienceRequirements: Minimum 1 year of experience in special education, familiarity with specialized programs (self-contained, ASD, externalizing behaviors such as ED, ADHD)
  • OtherRequirements: In-person availability, day shift, full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week), background check compliance, soft skills such as patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized instruction to students with various exceptionalities within a school setting.
  • Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and collaborate with other educators and staff.
  • Manage classroom environments to ensure safety and promote positive behavior.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
