This position is for a special education teacher in a self-contained, life skills classroom, 9th through 12th grades.
Job Requirements:
Valid Missouri teaching certificate in area applied for.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward generating successful teamwork and a demonstrated ability to work with a variety of people in a variety of settings.
To create an academic program, directed by curriculum guides, which fosters learning in all subject areas taught; to create a classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge, which contribute to the foundation of lifelong learning; to establish good relationships with parents, staff, and other community members.
Salary - Step 1 - $40,000 with board paid benefits. Actual contract amount will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
School year as established by the Board and Administrators.
