Job Description

The Special Education Teacher will provide individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities, helping students achieve the academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional goals outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities
Develop and implement individualized learning plans and IEP goals.
Monitor, document, and report student progress.
Support students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional development.
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
Provide appropriate accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, structured, and supportive learning environment.
Maintain required student records and documentation.
Ensure services are delivered in accordance with applicable special education requirements.

Valid Wisconsin DPI Special Education teaching license appropriate to assignment.
Knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and instructional best practices.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Effective classroom management skills.
Ability to support students with diverse learning and developmental needs.
Ability to maintain accurate documentation and compliance standards.
