Program: Special Education - Behavioral Intervention

Description: This position is located within a secure facility and requires the ability to work effectively in a highly structured environment. The team member will work collaboratively with JDC staff, Central York staff, and LIU staff to support the educational needs of the students within the program. The position requires a dedication to maintaining a safe, consistent, and supportive learning environment while navigating the unique behavioral and situational challenges of a detention setting.

Qualifications:

• Valid PA Teaching Certificate: Special Education PK - 12
• Experience with students with special needs, preferred
• Experience with behavior intervention and knowledge of de-escalation techniques, preferred

Terms: Full Time, 190 days (follows traditional school year schedule)

Salary: As of 7/1/2026 Bach. min $62,011.15, Mast. min (up to 44 credits) $63,511.15, plus benefits*
