About the Role

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Mild/Moderate Special Education Teacher to support students in Brighton, CO. In this role, you’ll provide individualized instruction, implement IEPs, and create a structured, inclusive learning environment that helps students succeed. You’ll work collaboratively with school staff and a supportive, therapist-run team.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs

• Provide specialized instruction across academic subjects

• Support students with mild to moderate disabilities in a high school setting

• Manage classroom behavior and create a structured, supportive environment

• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families

• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

• Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation

• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for diverse learning needs
   

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with Special Education endorsement

• Experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities preferred

• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills

• School-based experience preferred, not required
