The assignment runs from August 10, 2026, to May 20, 2027, and spans a 37.5-hour work week. Five immediate openings are available, creating a collaborative environment with fellow dedicated professionals. Pending licensure candidates will also be considered.
Key Qualifications:
- Active (or pending) New Mexico Special Education licensure
- Experience with high behavioral needs preferred
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Passion for adapting curriculum and instructional techniques
- Excellent communication and crisis intervention skills

Role Duties:- Deliver academic and behavioral instruction to students in a self-contained classroom
- Develop, monitor, and update IEPs according to student needs and regulatory standards
- Employ evidence-based strategies for managing challenging behaviors
- Collect data and assess progress to adjust instruction and interventions
- Foster a safe, positive environment that empowers students
- Engage in regular communication with parents, caregivers, and school staff
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and school initiatives
