Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time elementary school position in Colorado Springs, CO. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and collaborating with school staff to help students succeed.
Assignment Details:
- School Level: Elementary
- Schedule: Full-time
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Start Date: ASAP
- Caseload: To be determined
- Licensure: Colorado Special Education teaching license.
- Provide specialized instruction and support to elementary students with disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized instructional strategies based on student needs.
- Support students in meeting academic, behavioral, and developmental goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, families, and other school professionals.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Follow school and district policies, procedures, and special education requirements.
- Valid Colorado Special Education teaching license or currently in the process of obtaining licensure.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
