Special Education Teacher

Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a part-time elementary school resource position in Colorado Springs, CO. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about helping students with diverse learning needs achieve their academic and developmental goals.

• School Level: Elementary
• Position Type: Part-time
• Hours: 20 hours per week
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: End of the 2026 2027 school year
• Caseload: To be determined
• Licensure: Colorado Special Education teaching license or currently in the process of obtaining Colorado licensure

• Provide specialized instruction and academic support to elementary students with disabilities.
• Develop and implement instruction aligned with individual student needs and IEP goals.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, families, and other professionals.
• Participate in IEP meetings and support the implementation of individualized education plans.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Follow school and district policies and special education requirements.

• Valid Colorado Special Education teaching license
• Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
