Special Education Teacher Contract *Up to 58/hr

Special Education Teacher contract position in Amherst, New Hampshire for a 36-week assignment. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' needs.

• Collaborate with co-teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.

• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.

• Manage classroom behavior to ensure a positive learning environment.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with legal and organizational standards.

Qualifications:

• Certified as Special Education Teacher (1900).

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of Special Education Law.

• Experience in middle school settings.

• Knowledge and experience in MTSS and Competency-Based Grading.

• Strong communication, adaptability, and knowledge of co-teaching models.

• Physical ability to occasionally move around school facilities.

• Background checks required.

Preferred Skills:

• Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Certification (1833).

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
